Melissa's photography is inspired by life as it's lived. For as long as she can remember, she’s been driven to record memories. The who, what, where, when and why of everyday moments with a careful consideration to leave the scene unaltered. Her portfolio has shifted over the years from being client based to, now, simply personal images. The main goal, for her, is to shoot for her kids and family.
A graduate of York College of Pennsylvania and later achieving a master's degree in Education and Leadership, Melissa can currently be found as an online photography instructor at the Click Photo School and a mentor on the Clickin Moms forum educating moms and photographers through her workshop, "Photographing Your Family's Everyday". She is also available for private one on one photography coaching. Her current work can be seen on ClickPro's collaborative photography Daily Project.
She has been featured in Professional Photographer Magazine, Click magazine and was published in the book Capture the Moment: The Modern Photographer's Guide to Finding Beauty in Everyday and Family Life by Sarah Wilkerson. In 2014, Melissa spoke and presented at the inaugural ClickAway conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 2015 she was a Fujifilm expert reviewer.
Melissa resides in Delaware doing her best to raise three happy kiddos with her husband. Shooting with a Nikon D800, she enjoys shooting still photography with a newly developing passion for video. Which lens she prefers depends on the day you ask and what she’s shooting. Typically, a 50mm 1.4 fits the bill. Her preferred editing method is Lightroom but she dabbles in Photoshop.
